Time guides my work, and I photograph during the “blue hour,” those ambient moments before the sun rises. It is fleeting, and the sky transforms from darkness populated by stars to blue/cyan daylight in a matter of minutes. The quality of light is diffused and non-directional; fog sits low on the land before the sunlight burns it away and stirs the sleeping awake.
